Released back in November, Let’s Sing 2025 has brought karaoke to wherever you are. Developed by Voxler, Published by Plaion and released on pretty much every console out.
We were lucky enough to get sent a press box that contained some awesome goodies, thanks again Plaion! Of course the bit we were most interested in was the game itself, oh, and the microphones of course.
Tone Deaf or Pitch Challenged?
Do you have a favourite karaoke track? The smallest member of the TC Mini Crew begged us to do Sweet Caroline. Not sure what that is all about, but we went with it! Although heads up, if you’re looking to play this with small children, the official age rating on this game is 12. This is mainly down to the large catalogue of songs available to you, especially with the VIP Pass, but always worth bearing in mind!
Unfortunately on the Switch version of the game, there was no ability to take screenshots. So every picture used in the review is from the Plaion Press Kit.
Gameplay
Let’s Sing 2025 has simple gameplay, grab a microphone, choose your song and which stage to sing on, and then? Well, sing of course! As with any rhythm music game, you have to hit certain notes at the same time as a moving line. Sounds straightforward enough, but the key is to hit those combos to build up an awesome score. You’ll soon discover the pitch of where you sing cna be dramatically different to the song too.

That’s really all there is to the gameplay to be fair. The real meat of the game is when you look into a bit more detail.
It’s fun to belt away on your own in the story career mode, but grab three other friends or family members to join in and that’s where the real fun begins. If you don’t get the included microphones, then all you need to do is download the companion app and connect.
Pick A Track
Just as with all games in this genre, its success really comes down to the tracklist. It can have some amazing game modes, but if there isn’t anything that you know to perform then why bother? Thankfully Let’s Sing 2025 has a great playlist.
With over 30 tracks straight out of the bat, you will be singing along to top artists, such as Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran and many more. However, with every copy of the game, you get a one-month membership of the VIP Pass. Giving you instant access to over 150 songs from all eras and artists. These can be sing-along anthems or timeless classics. There will be something for everyone, and that was evident from playing this with the TC Mini Crew. Although I’m still questioning how the smallest became Neil Diamond’s biggest fan?!
Whatever song you choose to sing, it will have it’s music video play along in the background. Whilst you are singing you won’t be able to take in the video but those witnessing your performance will. It’s a nice addition that allows those not singing to enjoy their time. Not that wouldn’t with you serenading them of course.
Avatar
One thing you might want to do early into your Let’s Sing 2025 playtime is set up your avatar. It’s a little bodiless head and hands, and as you progress through the game you unlock accessories or styles to show off. Whether it’s a nice fancy hat or a cool pair of shades, make your avatar your own.

Graphics & Audio
I don’t know what to say in this section. Let’s Sing 2025 has tracks from artists of all eras, and with music videos playing in the background. At a simplistic level that is.
The menus are full of bright and colourful characters and logos. Making moving through all the menus quite enjoyable. Even the way the songs are catalogued is a lot of fun to work through. Pausing on each track gives a little snippet of the song so even if you can’t remember the names of a song. You will get reminded when you hear it playing.
On-screen queues are bright and colourful with particularly important sections showing in yellow. Meaning you know when to give it that little bit of extra oomph.
Longevity
When thinking about Let’s Sing 2025 in this section, “How long is a piece of string?” comes to mind. Honestly, there are hours of gameplay to be had. It all just depends on how often you get to dust off the microphones. If you fancy yourself as a karaoke pro as I know some people do. Then you might play this nightly. With the added tracks included with the VIP Pass, you might be getting requests to bring your Switch out to play quite often.
Final Thoughts
With an awesome track list, and a straight forward gameplay loop. Let’s Sing 2025 will quickly win the hearts of gamers who just enjoy singing. You could be the talk of every family party, especially if they enjoy karaoke. You could even take your Switch on holiday, and allow people to connect using their smart phones. You can literally sing anywhere!
Let’s Sing 2025 receives the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
